How We Serve Our Neighbors

As part of our call to transform the world, we are dedicated to loving and serving Jamestown. Discover how we partner with local ministries to fight food insecurity, care for families, and share the hope of Christ in practical, everyday ways.

Come to the Table

Through our partnership with Come to the Table at St. John’s Lutheran Church, we help provide free, hot weekly meals to anyone in the Jamestown area who needs one. Once a month, our church team takes full responsibility for planning, cooking, and serving a dinner for 50 to 80 local residents. This ministry allows us to put our faith into action, building community and offering practical care to our neighbors.

Daily Bread

St. Paul’s serves as a local distribution site for Daily Bread, a Jamestown initiative that reduces food waste by rescuing food and turning it into ready-to-eat meals. Located right inside our south Office Entrance, our Daily Bread freezer is open to the community—allowing any neighbor in need to stop in and take a pre-packaged meal, free of charge.

St. Paul's Food Shelf

Right inside the South Entrance of St. Paul’s, you’ll find our Community Food Shelf—a resource open to anyone in need of emergency food assistance. In addition to non-perishable goods and fresh food when available, we offer complete meal kits for families of up to four. Each kit comes fully packed with all required ingredients and easy-to-follow recipes, making sure our neighbors have quick access to nutritious, full family meals.

Snow Pants for Kids

St. Paul's Snow Pants for Kids is a homegrown ministry dedicated to keeping local children warm and active all winter long. Understanding how harsh North Dakota winters can be, our church family purchases brand-new snow pants and provides them free of charge to Jamestown elementary schools. By making sure school staff can distribute them directly to students in need, we help ensure every child—regardless of family income or resources—can step outside, play with their peers, and stay warm during the cold winter months.

Want to Support Our Food Shelf?

Keeping our food shelf stocked is an ongoing way we care for Jamestown families experiencing food insecurity. We welcome donations of unopened, non-perishable food items and complete meal kit ingredients. Feel free to bring your donations to the church during office hours or on Sunday mornings.
